Questions

Answers, up front.

Everything you're wondering about - experience, music, bilingual MC, how the night runs - it's here.

Experience & style

How long have you been DJing?

Since 1998 - over 27 years. I started as a resident DJ in my twenties playing to a thousand guests a night at Club Altitude 737, one of Montréal's busiest nightclubs. That foundation - reading a room, mixing across genres, thinking on my feet - carries into every wedding, corporate event, and celebration I do today.

Will you personally be at our event, or could we get someone else?

It'll always be me. I'm not a booking agency assigning out DJs - when you hire me, you get the same person who held a two-year residency at Club Altitude 737 and has been doing this since 1998, in the room with you.

What's your MC style - do you take over the room, or stay more low-key?

Whatever fits your vision. Some clients want high energy and plenty of guest interaction; others want elegant and understated with a lighter touch. We'll talk through the vibe you're after before your event, and I tune to match it.

Music

Can we request songs, and is there a deadline?

Absolutely - song requests are part of how we build your event together. We'll set a reasonable deadline ahead of time so everything's ready to go, though I'm always glad to take a few live requests from guests too, within reason.

Can we give you a do-not-play list?

Of course. Just as important as what we play is what we don't - I'll always respect a do-not-play list without question.

Bilingual

Can you MC in both English and French?

Yes - I MC comfortably in both English and French, which makes for a smoother night when your guest list is mixed, without needing to choose one language over the other.

Booking & logistics

How much does a wedding DJ cost in Montréal?

My wedding packages start at $1,500 for MC & hosting only and $2,500 for full DJ + MC. Pricing is based on your specific run sheet, venue, and what you need - not a flat rate. Get in touch and I'll put together an accurate quote.

How far in advance should we book?

As soon as you've locked in your date. Popular summer and fall Saturdays fill up 8–12 months out - sometimes further for holiday weekends. Booking early means we have plenty of time to plan the music and program together.

Do you travel outside Montréal for events?

Yes - I regularly work in Laval, the Rive-Sud, and surrounding areas. Events further out from the Greater Montréal area are quoted with a travel fee. Let me know your venue and I'll factor it in.

What's the deposit and payment process?

We'll cover the specifics when we talk, but a deposit secures your date and a straightforward contract protects us both.

MC vs. DJ+MC

What's the difference between booking you as MC only versus DJ+MC?

As MC only, I'm free to roam the room - coordinating live with your photographer, caterer, and venue as the night unfolds. As DJ+MC, I'm anchored at the booth running the music and the program, with coordination happening through a run sheet built in advance.

Games & interaction

Can you handle a multicultural or multi-generational guest list?

Early in my career, I made a point of learning music directly from people of different cultural backgrounds at community events, building a collection I could draw on with real confidence.

How do you handle special moments like the first dance?

With care and coordination - I confirm with your photographer that everyone is ready before those moments happen, so nothing important gets rushed or missed.
